Description:
Large law firms have helped engineer the globalization movement. In so doing, they too have become global institutions, creating tensions in professional regulation. Prof. Flood will discuss his new paper analyzing the regulation of multi-jurisdictional law firms. He will argue that large international law firms undermine, modify, escape and reconstruct professional regulation regimes. Edward Reich, a partner at SNR Denton and deputy general counsel of the firm, and Prof. Eric Pan will respond.
This event is co-sponsored by the Jacob Burns Ethics Center in the Practice of Law, Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.
This event offers 1.5 New York CLE (non-transitional) credits in ethics and professionalism.
