Professor Winship was formerly an associate of Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr in the area of Securities Enforcement and Litigation. She clerked for Judge Rendell, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and for Judge Kaplan, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.

Professor Winship is also a member of the Committee on Women in the Profession for the Association for the Bar of the City of New York.

Professor Winship teaches Corporations.

She holds a BA from Harvard College, a JD from Harvard Law School, where she was Executive Editor of the Harvard Law Review.
